A blessing for one who is exhausted...

Christine Cahoon   Wed 17 May 2017   updated: Tue 14 Nov 2017

Having heard about the death of a good friend and feeling worn out by life's struggles, I heard this poem for the first time and seemed appropriate... A Blessing for One Who is Exhausted by John O'Donohue.

The end seems especially helpful to...

Stay clear of those vexed in spirit.
Learn to linger around someone of ease
Who feels they have all the time in the world.

Gradually, you will return to yourself,
Having learned a new respect for your heart
And the joy that dwells far within slow time.

My good friend always seemed to have time, along with his wife, they helped so many.
